Test the equipment - join the conference call a few minutes early, you'll have enough time to troubleshoot any issues. Find a quiet spot – having a lot of background commotion will be a big distraction for everyone on the call and yourself. Speak loud and clear – Everyone everyone is using different audio equipment, and some might not be as loud as yours. Be sure to speak loud enough that everyone can hear you. Use the mute button – always put yourself on mute until it is your turn to speak. Even if you are in a quiet space, the mic still picks up noise.
