Test the equipment - join the conference call a few minutes early, you'll have enough time to troubleshoot any issues.

Find a quiet spot – having a lot of background commotion will be a big distraction for everyone on the call and yourself.

Speak loud and clear – everyone is using different audio equipment, and some might not be as loud as yours. Be sure to speak loud enough that everyone can hear you.

Use the mute button – always put yourself on mute until it is your turn to speak. Even if you are in a quiet space, the mic still picks up noise.

How to perform a hard reboot on your router at Home

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). HLW’s IT department does not have any access to your home network, which can make troubleshooting very difficult. We are always happy to help however we can, but reaching out to your ISP is suggested for anything that requires interfacing with the network

Speeding Up Remote Desktop Connections

Minimize the amount of programs opened, and avoid several memory-eating applications at the same time such as Google Chrome, Revit, Sketchup, and Outlook. Try keeping one or two open to see if speeds improve.

If you are on Wi-Fi, consider purchasing an ethernet cable to connect directly to your router. This is the most optimal way to be connected to your network.
